The sale and purchase of automobiles without a legal framework to back it up was a game of juggling, subject to bureaucratic ups and downs and each individual’s schemes. Whoever owns a car in Cuba holds the cultural imaginary status of a successful and economical person. It also means being involved in maintenance done with more creativity than resources. And even so, expensive and not very accessible if we take into account the average salary. The sale of it, after its legalization, did not bring less bewilderment and insecurity. The video approaches the experience of an individual in all the stages of that transaction and his struggle to keep old and deteriorated machinery on its feet.
