Lineamientos

The economic reforms initiated by the Cuban government in 2011 are called lineamientos (guidelines). The video documents a game played by children and teenagers on the railroad tracks. It consists of placing coins on the rails moments before the train passes so that the train crushes them with its wheels. This test of endurance ironizes the processes of economic change, not always as favorable for Cuban society as one might think.
