Offline digital space

ABSTRACT
!!!Sección ARTE (ART Section) is an offline curatorial project that exists within the Paquete Semanal (Weekly Package), the most notable phenomenon within the alternative digital context of the island. It is a folder of digital content focused on art, monthly, whose scope is as broad as that of the Package itself, which has a reach of approximately ten million users throughout Cuba. This project is the result of several years of research around the Paquete Semanal in which the artist unfolds in the role of curator and/or curator. His focus is on the informal ways of information circulation, digital piracy, alternative networks, the art-society relationship, the limits of net art and new media-offline art, as well as their social interaction within the spaces of mass culture.

STATEMENT
!!!Sección ARTE (ART Section) is an offline curatorial project that exists within the Paquete Semanal (Weekly Package), the most notable phenomenon within the alternative digital context of the Island. It is a portfolio of digital content focused on art, monthly, whose scope is as broad as that of the Package itself. However, its link with this phenomenon is deeper. Both are based on a directory of folders without an Internet connection and are experienced offline, as a digital information package. They employ multiple windows and possess similarities in digital aesthetics, ranging from file naming to directory architecture through the use of folders. !!!Sección ARTE adheres to the regulations of the Paquete Semanal: no pornography or overtly political content, as well as to its weight and format regulations.
In turn, the works or projects selected to participate in !!!Sección ARTE is closely related to the process of formation, consumption, and distribution of the Paquete Semanal. These projects become public information, so they can be edited, modified, reconfigured, and reproduced, with an approximate reach of ten million people throughout Cuba.
